Trying authentic Turkish food for the first time? We'll make it easy
How does the sharing concept work at Mangal?
In Turkey, people don’t just eat for themselves—they order a variety of dishes and share them. Everyone gets to try a little of everything. We do the same here: plates in the middle, conversation all around. Mezze Mangal are placed in the center of the table, and everyone helps themselves to whatever they like. We recommend 2–3 platters per person, including main courses, so you can experience the full variety.
What is Mezze?
Mezze small appetizers and side dishes that are traditionally served together in Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine—cold or warm, meant to be shared. Hummus, grilled vegetables, dips, marinated fish—everything is placed in the center of the table at the same time and stays there all evening. In Turkey, this is actually how every meal begins. For us, Mezze a starter plate that you eat alone and then clear away—they’re the start of an evening spent together.
What does "Mangal " mean?
These are our main dishes from the charcoal grill. Meat, fish, or vegetables—all cooked over an open flame. "Mangal" means "grill" in Turkish. For us, the fire isn't just for show—it's how we do things.
What are the Special Creations?
Special dishes created by our chef, available on the menu for a limited time only.
Are there any vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes, plenty. Since our cuisine draws on both Turkish and Mediterranean influences, we use a lot of fresh vegetables and olive oil—vegan and vegetarian dishes aren’t a compromise for us, but an integral part of our concept. All such dishes are clearly marked on our website and on the menu in the restaurant.
